Melanie Coberman is an artist whose practice is centred on colour, nature and the emotional impact of everyday visual experiences. Inspired by flowers, trees and landscapes, she creates expressive paintings that celebrate joy, spontaneity and a sense of freedom.

Her artistic development has grown through sustained personal practice alongside mentorship from artist Marina Emphietzi. This guidance has helped Coberman refine her approach while developing greater confidence in her own visual language and individuality.

Drawing on Impressionism and her own photography and observations of the natural world, Coberman transforms fleeting encounters into vibrant compositions shaped by expressive colour, intuitive mark-making and layered surfaces. Her work is driven by a desire to capture beauty, vitality and emotional warmth, inviting viewers to reconnect with the uplifting qualities of nature.
