A Return to Place
Set along one of the Mediterranean’s most arresting coastlines, Chia Laguna Nature Resort reopens for the season on 23rd April with a quietly transformative vision. Located in southern Sardinia, the resort enters a new chapter, one defined less by traditional luxury and more by a deeper, more considered connection to place.
Bringing together its three distinct hotels – Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia, Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hotel Village, the renewed identity is centred on cohesion. Not uniformity, but a shared rhythm that reflects the landscapes, traditions and pace of southern Sardinia itself.
This evolution signals a shift towards experience-led travel. Here, the destination is not simply observed but engaged with. Guests are invited into Sardinian life through curated encounters: hands-on culinary experiences with local producers, guided hikes across coastal trails, open-air yoga sessions and sea-led explorations shaped in collaboration with regional partners. The emphasis is on immersion, but also regeneration a conscious effort to honour and sustain the environment and culture that define the region.
At the heart of the resort, Hotel Village has been reimagined as a social nucleus. Its redesign celebrates the understated rituals of shared time: gathering in the piazza, chance encounters, unhurried walks and the gentle rhythm of outdoor living. Interiors have been completely refreshed, with natural fabrics, soft palettes and a clarity of space that allows light and air to take precedence.
Elevated above the bay, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia remains the resort’s most refined expression of contemporary Sardinian luxury. Its Shardana Suite, a study in quiet opulence, offers a private entrance, expansive open-plan living and a panoramic terrace that frames the lagoon and coastline beyond. Here, design is both modern and rooted, with subtle references to local craft and materiality.
A new addition for 2026, the Chia Village Passport introduces a more fluid approach to dining. Guests on half board can move between the resort’s restaurants, experiencing a spectrum of culinary interpretations that reflect Sardinia’s rich gastronomic identity.
The beaches of Chia remain its defining signature. Known for their luminous waters and dune-lined horizons, they encapsulate the essence of southern Sardinia. This season introduces subtle enhancements: redesigned sunbeds and umbrellas that sit more harmoniously within the landscape, improved access to Monte Cogoni via restored stone pathways, and a new shuttle service connecting guests to the Dune di Campana Beach Club.
Beyond the shoreline, the resort extends its attentiveness to families, offering thoughtfully curated amenities for younger guests, from dedicated welcome kits for babies to expansive activity programmes for children and teenagers. Yet, even here, the emphasis remains on balance creating space for both connection and retreat.
Long regarded as one of southern Europe’s most distinctive coastal destinations, Chia Laguna now moves forward with renewed clarity. This is not reinvention for its own sake, but a refinement of purpose an invitation to experience Sardinia not as a backdrop, but as a living, breathing presence.
For the 2026 season, Chia Laguna Nature Resort offers something increasingly rare: a return to authenticity, shaped by nature, culture and the art of slowing down.
