The Flux Review

Born from the curatorial vision behind FLUX Exhibition, one of London’s leading contemporary art platforms, The Flux Review extends the dialogue beyond the gallery walls.

Established to serve a discerning international audience of collectors, creatives, and culturally curious readers, the publication reflects the depth, quality, and global perspective cultivated through years of producing acclaimed exhibitions in London.

The Flux Review is a collectible art and culture magazine that uniquely brings together contemporary art, travel, design, and lifestyle. Each edition is thoughtfully curated to inspire those with an inquisitive mindset and an appreciation for exceptional aesthetics.

Featuring contributions from award-winning writers, artists, curators, and designers, the magazine showcases outstanding contemporary talent while exploring the places, ideas, and movements shaping our cultural landscape. Beautifully designed and internationally distributed, The Flux Review is both authoritative and aspirational — a publication created not simply to inform, but to inspire.

Available in print and digital formats, it continues to connect a global community through art, culture, and meaningful storytelling.

Lisa Gray – Founder

Lisa Gray is the founder of The FLUX Review and FLUX Exhibition, an internationally recognised platform for contemporary artists. Since its inception, FLUX has established itself as a dynamic space for artistic discovery, bringing together emerging and established artists within exceptional exhibitions, projects, and publications. The platform champions creativity at a pivotal moment in an artist’s career, offering audiences the opportunity to encounter diverse and compelling talent from across the world.

Through its exhibitions, FLUX provides access to a vibrant and evolving community of artists – many of whom are on the path to becoming the recognised names of tomorrow. The exhibitions celebrate artistic innovation and collaboration, creating inclusive environments where artists, collectors, curators, and audiences can connect and engage with contemporary culture.

Building on the success of FLUX Exhibition, Gray expanded the platform to include The FLUX Review – an inspirational and beautifully designed magazine that brings together contemporary art, travel, culture, and lifestyle. Stocked in bookstores across the UK and distributed internationally, the publication reflects the same commitment to discovery, quality, and global perspective that defines the FLUX brand.

Prior to founding FLUX, Gray worked in finance as an analyst, bringing with her over two decades of professional experience. This background has informed the strategic growth of FLUX events, projects, and publications, enabling the platform to support artists while connecting their work with collectors, cultural audiences, and an international readership. Today, through exhibitions, editorial features, and collaborative projects, FLUX continues to champion contemporary artists and celebrate the power of creativity to inspire, connect, and transform.

Dr. Susan Cooke – Art Historian

Dr. Susan Cooke is an art historian specialising in the art and culture of antiquity, with a particular focus on the Ancient Mediterranean from the Late Bronze Age through to the Early Roman Principate. Her research explores the complex economic and cultural exchanges that shaped the region, examining the deep connections between the Mediterranean world and the Ancient Near East.

Through an interdisciplinary approach that brings together art history, archaeology, ancient history, mythology, and theology, Dr. Cooke investigates how visual culture reflects patterns of migration, settlement, and cultural continuity across ancient societies. Her work offers a nuanced perspective on art, architecture, and iconography, revealing how ideas and traditions travelled across borders and civilisations.

Having benefited from an international graduate education, Dr. Cooke has taught widely across the globe, holding positions as Professor of Art History in South Carolina, Bahrain, Qatar, and Hong Kong. Her teaching and research continue to contribute to a broader understanding of the cultural dialogues that shaped the ancient world.
